Perhaps we can avoid many security issues by having a secure basis.
A smart memory handling system and by using technologies such as address space randomization, automatic tests, stack-smashing protection, etc.

Or by using languages that do safe allocations, etc.

I wonder if someone's beta testing a troll/spam bot that goes off of keywords ("hack" in this case) in an attempt to be on topic. If so, then I imagine it'll show up with links in the blather at some point.
