If you know a person by the name of Stephen Darori, kindly explain to him how search engines and search engine caches work. Many months ago he first emailed me asking that some messages archived in the KernelTrap mailing list archives be removed for whatever reason. As KernelTrap is and always has been just a hobby, I didn't jump right on the request but in a reasonable amount of time I responded and removed the emails as requested. Absurdly enough, said Stephen Darori (a self proclaimed "Senior VP Investments and Head of a billion dollar high technology division") evidently does not understand the difference between an actual website and a google cache, and ignores my attempts at explaining.
Many months later, my spam filters continue to trap emails from Stephen Darori which include stale links to KernelTrap pages that search engines tell him contain his name, but in fact do not. It is annoying that he not only sends emails to every address of mine he has managed to locate, but that he has also started sending the emails to other people that I work with. I kindly forward them on to the appropriate agencies, but he has no trouble creating new email accounts from which to harass. I have repeatedly asked him to stop emailing me, but he has finally exhausted my patience.
Sitting in the airport waiting for a ride, I noted yet another email in my inbox and wondered at Mr. Darori's motivation for this repeated and obnoxious harassment. I can only assume he said something in the emails that he wishes to remove from the record. Evidently the ability to search for his name and find records of whatever it was is embarrassing to him. Well, Mr. Darori, I will be posting samples from your future emails to this blog posting, so if you'd like to avoid having them get into the various search indexes, kindly refrain from sending me any further emails. You will be your own worst enemy.
