I am working on an Intervid digital recorder that is running netBSD and need to get into the system to change an IP address but have been unsuccessful in accessing the system menu to do so. Any suggestions?
what do you mean by 'system menu'? is this a standard NetBSD thing or was it added by Intervid for just this device? do you even get in touch with NetBSD or is it just the infrastructure under a locked proprietary application (which i suppose a device manufacturer will do for user protection).
This was a poor description on my part but I'm not real sure of the proper terminology. When I power-fail and reboot the Intervid the system will run through a lengthy diagnostics process. During this diagnostics process there is a combination of keys that can be pressed which will allow the user to access the system and enter "setip" to set the IP address and "setgate" to set the gateway - I cannot remember what that combination of keys is. I hope that clarifies my dilemma and I appreciate any assistance.
